Contact Pro 2 Contact Forming Instruments help shape and position both mesial and distal interproximal contacts in Class II composite restorations.
Simply insert the end into a box preparation containing uncured composite. Push or pull toward contact to create separating pressure through the matrix band at the level of contact. Hold flat plane of handle parallel to occlusal plane for ideal contact shape. Place curing light tip on convex lens and cure. Upon instrument removal, a void will remain created by cured composite that maintains the contact and gingival contour. Fill void with flowable composite and finish as usual.
Works with metal or mylar bands. Transparent, durable plastic will not adhere to composites. Steam autoclavable.
