Preparation of titanium burs

In the prosthetic implantology sector, titanium is used as a prefabricated solid abutment to receive a crown or a bridge. Titanium abut- ments are supplied either prefabricated or custommade by the dental laboratory. In both cases, the dentist usually has to make minor corrections, such as for example a slight adaptation of the abutment to ensure opti- mum positioning of the crown.
